🌽 Food, Resistance & Rituals for Autonomous Futures 🌽
Thu, 11.9.25 18.00h at Sp!t, Lindenberg 21, 4058 Basel
Let us dream and re-imagine collectively our care practices and a revolution centered around the land.
Inspired from the Autonomus Kitchen Council (AKC) model proposed by the Tierra Comida Libertad collective (from indigenous trans women migrants/workers in the US) we will exchange with Abundia Alvarado (Nahuatl-Apache migrant 2Spirits/Trans femme from Mexico, Tenochtitlan) about our ways of organizing and about these principles : Participatory Structure, Rotational Work, Local Solidarity, Sovereign Food Cultures.
Come to share your experiences, struggles, questions and dreams with us! Abundia will share and explain the AKC model to open a discussion. We’ll cook and eat together.
Reading: Delight in sharing the booty – Queer-anarchist pamphlet for the revolt
„To clarify: we are criminal queer anarchists and this world can never be enough for us. […] We walk the paths of previous queer crimes and chart the downfall of the social order.“ – Mary Nardini Gang. What connects insurrectionary-anarchist struggles with queer struggles? What does Walter Benjamin’s concept of “messianic time” mean and what can we learn from it? Between mysticism, ecstasy, queer riots and ways of relating, this reading explores the translated texts ‚Be Gay! Do Crime!‘ and ‚Criminal Intimacy’ by the Mary Nardini Gang.
The reading will take place at OFF as part of the monthly Queers & Friends Bar and with delicious solo cocktails.
Lauf gegen Grenzen (engl. Run Against Borders)
The „Lauf gegen Grenzen“ is a sponsored run that campaigns for the rights of refugees, migrants and undocumented migrants. The run is organized by the Verein gegen Grenzen and the two supporting organizations Freiplatzaktion Basel and Anlaufstelle für Sans-Papiers Basel. The run against borders takes place every year in Basel and is open to everyone. The aim is to raise public awareness of migration policy issues, to network various active people and organizations and to raise money for the two supporting organizations and other projects. We are running for an open society based on solidarity, for civil society involvement, for a world without racism and exclusion and for a humane migration policy.

Roller Derby Scrimmage
Roller derby originated in the USA and has always been closely linked to the queer and feminist movements. Roller derby is a full-contact sport on roller skates in which players compete under derby identities. The game lasts one hour. The team that scores the most points wins. Points can be scored by the jammer passing the blocking players of the opposing team at the hips. This often involves some rough play. The game you can see at the FemKongress is a training game at the end of a boot camp organized by the Rhine Rebels Basel.
Feminist Library at Sp!t
The queer_feminist library is open in the context of the feminist congress and offers you a cozy place to relax and socialize. The kitchen can be used to make tea and cook something. Come by to borrow books and zines, read, chill, talk to each other, snack, or just be!

Accessibility info:
The library and gender-neutral toilet are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. However, this is currently difficult with larger models due to the rather narrow entrance and the construction site on the street. The kitchen on the ground floor can be accessed via a steep ramp or has a step. There are sofas and sturdy chairs without armrests. Non-alcoholic drinks are available for a donation. The space is non-smoking.
